What I Wore In: Malaga, Spain

At first, I wasn’t too sure what to wear on my first trip to the south of Spain. I did research on the weather (of course) and looked at pictures of the area for inspo (Google Images to be exact…!)

The forecast showed 80 degrees (yay!), dropping to 60’s in the evening. Given the rich culture and ancient architecture of Spain (picture: ruins, beautiful archways, fortified brick palaces, colorful mosaics), I wanted to incorporate texture. I also wanted to wear colors that were somewhat muted; too bright of colors would have felt more tropical (better suited for the Caribbean-esque).

What I Wore In: St. Lucia

There’s one requirement I have when packing for the Caribbean – bring color and lots of it. Besides planning for lots of outdoors activities (hiking, visiting volcanoes) and beach bumming, I wasn’t sure what else I’d be getting into during my trip to St. Lucia. So, I mostly ended up packing new items I’d just gotten and was excited to wear (it had been awhile since I’d seen the sun because the weather had been miserable in NYC).

What I Wore In: Cancun, Mexico

We all know Cancun gets turned up, so bringing clothes that you can cut a rug in is a must. But did you know that Cancun has really great restaurants? Plus, the turn up doesn’t have to be all day (although that’s an option too). During the day, we spent most of our time at the rooftop pool of our hotel and lazily strolling around the area.

Check out what I wore in Cancun, Mexico to stay comfortable while absorbing Vitamin D and getting to know the town.

My Very Colorful Yet Affordable Caribbean Island Style

I do not believe in spending loads of money for warm weather clothes. Something about the fact that there’s minimal fabric means that the prices should also be minimal. Haha! Seriously – much of my warm weather clothing has been thrifted, repurposed, or purchased at extremely low prices.

I’m sharing some of my inexpensive Caribbean outfits, that also reflect the colorful, relaxed vibes of the islands, mon! Shopping info is included…

The Only Way to Wear Long Flared Jeans When Youre Tall

As opposed to cropped flares, long flared jeans can be tricky to incorporate into your wardrobe when you’re tall. For starters, they (like every other pair of jeans) are not easy to find in long lengths. To add, they are hard to disguise when they’re too short. Unlike skinny jeans, for example, you can’t easily tuck them in your boots, roll them up, or wear them short because they would look wonky.

For that reason, I have one hard and fast rule for wearing long flares…
